The 12C saw many Romanesque churches flourish in Zamora. Among the most interesting and unusual are those of San Claudio, San Cipriano, Santa María la Nueva, San Juan Bautista, Santa María de la Horta, Santo Tomé, Santiago del Burgo, Santiago de los Caballeros and La Magdalena.
