The Michelin Guide's review
This reconstruction of a traditional Amerindian village offers a fascinating introduction to the history, heritage and customs of the First Nations, and of the Huron Nation in particular. Interesting guided tours allow visitors to step inside a longhouse (multi-family dwelling) and view a smokehouse and a traditional sauna (a small structure in which steam is produced by pouring boiling water onto heated stones). Visitors can also learn about Huron legends through the performance of traditional dances.
