Some 20km south of Niort, Zoodyssée is a 25ha zoo that keeps European wild and domestic fauna, altogether some 700 animals, belonging to more than 70 different species: wolves, lynx, European bison, aurochs-like cattle, Poitou donkeys, as well as raptors, reptiles and amphibians. Children will appreciate in particular the rearing and food preparation room, and the mini-farm, where they can stroke the animals.
