The Michelin Guide's review
The former Grand Casino, created on Napoleon III's initiative, opened its doors in 1865. With lounges, a concert hall and a ballroom, it was the first of its kind in France. The quality of the Art Nouveau interior owes much to the work of painter Rudnicki, wrought-iron craftsman Émile Robert and master glassworker François Chigot. In 1995, the opera house was restored identically, and the casino was turned into a conference centre, returning the building to its former glory.
