The Michelin Guide's review
The Gulf of Morbihan, which is 20km wide and dotted with sixty or so islands and islets, is famous for its beautiful scenery. The light at sunrise and sunset is particularly memorable. Out at sea, fishing boats and oyster barges mingle with leisure craft and water sports enthusiasts. On land, the treasures of the local marshlands and the numerous dolmens and cairns, which bear witness to the region's mysterious past, are best explored on foot or by bike. It has become a regional nature park.
