The coastal road offers the best overall view of Toulon's harbours (but you have to get out of your car): the Petite Rade between Mourillon and La Seyne, the Grande Rade circumscribed to the south by the St Mandrier Peninsula and to the east by Cap de Carqueiranne; further still, the Gulf of Giens and Giens Peninsula. Not forgetting of course the old town, the port and the suburbs flanking the mountain.
