The Michelin Guide's review
The historic heart of the city, Rynek Staromiejski is 109m long and 104m wide. The square may be dominated by the massive Old Town Hall, but the other buildings are just as interesting. The imposing neo-Gothic post office (Poczta) from 1881 adjoins the Church of the Holy Spirit (1756). The Copernicus Monument (1853) is the meeting point for all the inhabitants of Toruń. Finally, the House under the Star is a superb Italian-inspired Baroque residence with a stuccoed façade.
