The Michelin Guide's review
Of the many synagogues originally built in the Jewish quarter of Toledo, only this one and that of Santa María la Blanca survive to this day. The marvellous Mudéjar decoration inside this small, relatively plain building comes as a pleasant surprise. A fine artesonado ceiling made from cedarwood crowns this rectangular room. The adjoining rooms, converted into a Sephardic museum, contain beautiful objects of Jewish origin including tombstones, costumes and books.
