The Michelin Guide's review
Founded in 1891 by Artur Hazelius, the open-air museum defies superlatives - the loveliest, the oldest and the best known. Living spaces of yesteryear have been reconstructed: a Sami camp, a 14C Norwegian cabin, 19C Stockholm workers' houses, farms from Skåne (Scania) and Dalarna provinces... all complete with furnishings, textiles, tools and crockery. There is also an enclosure of Nordic animals, children's games and workshops. Fascinating!
