The Michelin Guide's review
The House of the Hunt takes its name from a mosaic, little of which survives, which depicts the rich variety of game once found around Bulla Regia. The basement rooms, buried 5.15m underground, have retained some beautiful paving practically intact. In the bedrooms, the position of the beds is marked by a small platform decorated with mosaics. The peristyle consists of eight columns with Corinthian capitals, which no doubt once extended to the upper floor. Note the vaults which have been built out of terracotta tubes which fit together perfectly.
