East Baray and East Mebon

The Michelin Guide's review
The water reserves of the former city of Angkor used to come from the eastern baray (9C-10C). This now-dry reservoir covering almost 15km²/10mi² was supplied by the Siem Reap river. At its centre is east Mebon, a pyramid-shaped mountain-temple bristling with five towers. The battered temple retains the ruins of a wharf at the feet of each of the gopura (doors), a throwback to its former riparian position.
