The Michelin Guide's review
Historic Rouen and its narrow streets are genuinely delightful. The streets are lined with old half-timbered houses from the 15C to the 18C. Fine examples of religious architecture include two Gothic masterpieces: the church of St-Maclou and the church of Saint Ouen, without forgetting the haunting Aître St-Maclou, one of the last examples of a medieval plague cemetery. The early Renaissance law court is also worthy of note.
