The Michelin Guide's review
The sumptuous neoclassical residence of the Raczyński family was built on the River Warta in the late 18C. A vast lawn lined with chestnut trees leads to the palace, depicted by a horseshoe layout. The right wing houses a reconstruction of the London office of the former Polish president-in-exile, Edward Raczyński. Behind the palace, a magnificent formal garden gives onto a second, landscaped garden. Some 945 oak trees, among the oldest in Europe, grow in this enchanting riverside site.
