The Michelin Guide's review
Housed in a residence built in 1878 for Princess Kotschoubey in the Genoese Renaissance style, the Musée des Beaux Arts (Fine Arts Museum) exhibits European works from the 17C-19C. One room is devoted to the Van Loos, the most famous of whom, Carle, was born in Nice in 1705. Other works include paintings by A Tassi (Landscape with Jesus healing a Blind Man), Fragonard and Carpeaux, a section devoted to French landscape painting (Boudin, Monet, Sisley etc), and works by Jules Chéret and Mossa.
