The Michelin Guide's review
The massive neo-Gothic cathedral of St John the Divine, seat of the episcopal diocese of New York, can house up to 3 000 worshippers. Despite having its first stone laid in 1892, the church is still unfinished. In addition to religious services, the building has become a sort of cultural centre, hosting a number of very diverse performances, often free or inexpensive, such as concerts, dance performances, plays and movies.
