The Michelin Guide's review
Created at the request of Stanislas Leszczynski, Duke of Lorraine, this attractive 23ha promenade includes a terrace, English garden, rose garden and zoo. Prior to being a pleasure garden, the royal nursery was home to a vast array of trees to be planted along the roads of the Lorraine. Note the statue of the painter Claude Gellée, whom Rodin referred to as "Le Lorrain".
