Kost Castle
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Despite having been destroyed and modified over the centuries, this 14C castle is one of the finest medieval fortresses in the Czech Republic. It has retained many original features, such as its 32m-high white tower and its 3.8m-thick walls. During the Hussite Wars (1419-36), the castle remained in Catholic hands despite a long siege carried out by the Hussites.
