The Michelin Guide's review
This huge quadrilateral castle, built from 1450 onwards by Francesco Sforza, is now home to some remarkable collections of art. The Museo Pietà Rondanini is completely dedicated to the last unfinished masterpiece by Michelangelo (1564). The highlights of the Museo d'Arte Antica include the 14C funerary monument of Bernabò Visconti and the recumbent statue of Gaston de Foix by Bambaia. The art gallery, furniture museum and the museum of musical instruments are also worth a visit, as are the museum of decorative arts and the archaeological museum.
