The Michelin Guide's review
This sanctuary, a UNESCO heritage site, was built in the 12C in a remarkably pure Romanesque Poitevin style. Admire the tasteful design of the staggered east side and the façade flanked by conical bell turrets. The left-hand porch bears a high-relief statue of its famous knight. Inside, the carved capitals of the vault are superlative. Since 2011, a contemporary chancel, designed by Mathieu Lehanneur, adorns the junction of the transept.
