The Michelin Guide's review
This enclosed square reveals its full beauty to visitors as soon as they pass through the statue-crowned propylaea that connects it with Via Vittorio Emanuele II. The buildings lining it all showcase a remarkable architectural harmony and symmetry: to the left, the Duomo (1659-70) and its bell tower, both by Giuseppe Zimbalo; opposite, the Baroque façade of the Palazzo Vescovile (1758), by Manieri; and to the right, the imposing façade of the Palazzo del Seminario (1709), designed by Giuseppe Cino.
