The Michelin Guide's review
One of the distinctive features of the Mareuil region is its network of dry grasslands, which have developed thanks to the limestone subsoil and age-old pastoral practices. The Plateau d’Argentine is probably the most remarkable part of this network. It covers some 100ha, reaches a height of 143m and stands out in the landscape on account of its typical causse (limestone plateau) characteristics. The hike, which is easy and marked out with signs, crosses this remarkable Natura 2000-classified landscape.
