The Michelin Guide's review
This mosque, a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture, was designed by Sinan (1561) for Rüstem Pasha, Grand Vizir and son-in-law of Suleiman the Magnificent. The superb Iznik ceramics, which adorn the façade and the interior with an abundance of floral and geometric motifs, are among the finest of Istanbul and bear witness to the Golden Age of this mural art.
