The Michelin Guide's review
Moulay Idriss Zaouia is one of the holiest places in Morocco; it houses the tomb of Moulay Idriss II, long considered the founding father of Fez. The narrow street that skirts the zaouia is a refuge for beggars; enter the horm, the sacred area. A stone's throw away, you will see the alms box placed on a fine mashrabiya. Note the main door, richly decorated with wood painted in bright colours, and the prayer hall, with its countless chandeliers and remarkable collection of clocks.
