The Michelin Guide's review
This steep, cobbled street is lined with shops occupied by weavers, glass blowers, sculptors and engravers. This old thoroughfare (15C and 16C), leading to the harbour, was once the home of middle-class inhabitants, craftsmen and merchants. In the Middle Ages, wares were displayed in the stalls, now decorated with flower boxes, as customers did not enter the shops.
