The Michelin Guide's review
The Board of Trade was founded in 1848 to regulate the Midwest's cereal trading and transport from Illinois and the Great Plains to the east coast. This outstanding 1930 Art Deco skyscraper (Holabird & Root) at the south end of the LaSalle Street financial district testifies to that period of abundance. Ceres, the goddess of the harvest, gazes down from the building's soaring roof.
