The Michelin Guide's review
Known for its sudden and dramatic floods, such as that of 1928, which swept away the hamlet of Auberts (2km/1mi upstream from Clots), this is a forbidding mountainscape of wilderness and pastureland. Don't miss the walk to Chaumette meadow, which takes you up the dale dominated by sheer slopes sprinkled with waterfalls in a wooded landscape of birch and larch trees.
