Museum of Human Evolution (Museo de la Evolución Humana)
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This museum is housed in the main section of a huge, modern complex designed by Juan Navarro Baldeweg. It also includes a Convention Centre and Archaeological Research Centre. The museum is devoted to the archaeological site of Sierra de Atapuerca, Darwin's theory of evolution and the history of human evolution; it also draws parallels between modern-day man and the hunter-gatherer of 9000 years ago and has reconstructed the fundamental ecosystems of human evolution: forests, savanna and tundra-steppes.
