The Michelin Guide's review
In the rooms, lit through the lovely stained-glass windows of this neo-Gothic building (one of the finest in the area), maps from various eras tell the story of Bucharest, Romania, the world, space and history. Over time, the rivers that structured maps were replaced by roads. The world is presented through Persian woodcuts (Isfahan, Kandahar, Astrakhan), little-known Japan (1744), France of the 16C by Mercator.
