The Michelin Guide's review
This Cistercian abbey, founded in the 12C under the aegis of St Bernard, was one of the most prosperous in the country. It was rebuilt in the 18C, then destroyed by decree during the French Revolution. Its ruins (belfry, Classical-style doorway), outbuildings and beautiful avenues of lime trees all form part of the Pairi Daiza park.
