Explorers' Park
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
A traditional landmark in a port accustomed to acclimatizing exotic plants, this small elongated park reminds visitors of the expeditions of explorers such as Bougainville, Commerson, La Billardière, Raoul. It also features species generally found in other parts of the world: palm trees, tree fern, New Zealand flax and Japanese anemones. The footbridge provides a lovely view of the castle and the dockyards.
