The Michelin Guide's review
Now occupied by the local tourist office, the Trinkhalle, built between 1839 and 1842, is fronted by a long gallery decorated with painted murals depicting local legends. Spa visitors can drink a glass of thermal water here, or a small cup of cow's, goat's or mare's whey. Behind the building, paths lead across the Kurhaus park where the Orthodox Romanian Stourdza chapel stands on a hill, offering fine views of "Hohenbaden", also known as the Altes Schloss (old castle), which once belonged to the Margraves of Baden.
