The Michelin Guide's review
Built in the 16C, this old Franciscan church was the episcopal see of François de Sales and became a cathedral in 1822. Its Renaissance façade and handsome rose window contrasts with the Gothic interior. Remarkable works of art adorn the walls, including a Descent from the Cross, copy of a Caravaggio. Jean-Jacques Rousseau, who took lessons with the choir, came here to sing and play the flute.
