The Michelin Guide's review
The peaceful Mazarin district, work of Archbishop Mazarin, brother of the famous cardinal in the 17C, rapidly attracted a host of local dignitaries, politicians and lawyers, who built lavish private mansions here. It is laid out on a grid network around two main streets, Rue Cardinale and Rue du 4 septembre, at the crossroads of which is the Quatre Dauphins fountain, now one of the town's iconic monuments.
